"You don't understand the situation! He's going to die, Candy, and there's nothing I can do to stop that! Nothing!!" Jack yelled back at her, her arguing with him getting the better of him, enough to set him off. Really, he wanted to be able to help. He'd thought of doing exactly what she wanted him to do, take him off world when the nuclear meltdown started. But he'd be stuck forever the way he was, and. Jack wasn't so sure that Owen would forgive him for that. The whole thing had been eating away at him, and to have someone like Candy come and reprimand him about it, it was the last straw.

"Jack," Ianto said, stepping up and putting a hand on his back. Jack shrugged it off, angrily. "Tell her that I'm not lying, Ianto," he growled. Ianto sighed, his expression tight as he looked at Jack, before turning to Candy, nodding. "He's... He's right."
