Ianto was frantically rummaging through the contents of the kit, looking for something, anything that might help, that Sulu might have been motioning towards. All he was finding were botany tools and none of that would do anything useful. Ianto changed a glance over at Sulu, checking to see that he was still...who knows what. That he was still at least gasping for air. If that stopped, Ianto didn't... He didn't know what he'd do. He let out a noise of frustration and grabbed the bag once more, when his hand met with something solid in one of the pockets. Reaching in, his hand met something cool to the touch, and he pulled it out. A hypospray.
And then it hit him. The rash, the trouble breathing, the...whatever it was that had come over the both of them. It was the flowers. The flowers they had been lying in, that Sulu had been face-down in for a moment or two there. He was allergic. There was something about them that was causing this reaction, and it had to be an allergy.
Ianto knew that it was a risk, but he was going to take it. He couldn't very well ask Sulu to tell him what he was looking for, and there weren't any markings on the thing to suggest that this was what it was for exactly. But if he were to hazard a guess, well. This was as good a reason as any to keep a hypo around. Positioning himself over Sulu, he braced one hand on the man's shoulder, took in a few shuddering breaths (he really didn't know what he was doing with this huge needle, he didn't like the fact that he was going to have to use it himself), before he plunged the hypo into the crook of the other man's neck and shoulder, injecting the medication as he did so.
