[RL WITH AKIHIKO AND JACK][BACKDATED]

Ianto and Akihiko had been out and about looking for Jack for a long time, now. Enough time that they'd had to take a break for breakfast and to give themselves a bit of downtime. What with interviewing Ross and then the Jack fiasco, neither had gotten any sleep the night before. As such, traffic was horrible, crawling by at such a pace that were Ianto an impatient man, he would really be quite frustrated at the moment. As it were, he was concerned.

Per usual, it was raining in Cardiff. It seemed to always be raining, he thought to himself. What concerned Ianto, however, was not the rain, but the clouds in the sky. Cardiff had its fair share of menacing clouds, but these were biblical in their darkness. They seemed far too dark, far too angry, and far too close to be normally occurring weather patterns. Ianto was reminded of another case a while back involving funny sorts of weather patterns, and hoped that they wouldn't have to deal with those fairy creatures again for a long time.

"Look at the sky, Akihiko," Ianto said, sadly. It meant that time was getting closer and closer to this peak energy reading that Jack had spoken of, and they were no further to finding the man than they were hours previous.

[RL WITH VANESSA]

Ianto stood outside the area that Vanessa told him that he should meet her at, trying to look nonchalant and not like he was a man in a woman's body. He was unsure of how the day was going to go, and what she had planned for them to do, but he was sure of one thing: he needed to get clothes that fit. He hated not being able to wear his finely tailored suits and ties, instead being forced into things that didn't fit. Worse of all, they were Lisa's clothes, and something about wearing his dead ex-girlfriend's clothes made him feel down if he so much as even thought about it.

He shifted awkwardly, smoothing down invisible wrinkles in the outfit he had on. He'd managed to unearth some outfits from the archives that fit him well enough and weren't too outdated, so that he wouldn't have to wear Lisa's things. Still, there was something to be said about wearing nice, well-fitting clothes. Especially lingerie. He had no idea about anything to do with lingerie, but he needed to be more comfortable than he was at the moment, and if that meant going shopping for a bra, then so be it.

[RL WITH AKIHIKO]

Ianto had woken up with a bit of a predicament. He had rolled out of bed, wearing the usual pajama pants and Jack's t-shirt that he normally wore to bed, and started toward the bathroom, finally switching on the light before he noticed something odd. For one, his hair was long, longer than he remembered it being. Shoulder length, in fact. For another thing, his hips didn't really fit into his pants like they normally did. And finally, he had breasts. Ianto had looked in the mirror at a stranger, and said, "...well, fuck me," his voice higher in cadence than he was used to hearing, but with the same sarcastic Welsh lilt that it always had. Ianto only swore when the situation merited it, and he was definitely sure that this situation merited it.

Ianto had them proceeded to text Jack saying that he'd be in late, but not to worry too much, and no, don't come looking for him, he'd get there eventually, before he found himself at a loss. What was he supposed to do? What the hell was going on? He had stared at his phone for a few good minutes, before texting Akihiko. "Bit of a problem at my flat. Take a taxi over?" the text said, which Ianto hoped would convey that he couldn't drive Akihiko himself, and yes, something was horribly wrong. While he waited for the boy to arrive, he sat at his computer, desperately trying to find some kind of evidence that this was involved with the community, but the more he looked the more he realized it was his very own unique predicament.

"Brilliant," Ianto said out loud to himself, "just bloody brilliant."
