[LOG WITH SULU][forward-dated to valentine's day]

Ianto had gotten back from Owen's birthday party and immediately gone to the fridge to get himself a lager. He had intended to leave early that night to sober up, but. He needed the alcohol. Needed the burn and the haze to get over the fact that he had just been talking to a friend that would be dead in a few months time. A friend who he'd watched die once already, and well. Yes, it was Valentine's day, and Sulu was coming over, but Ianto needed to wind down a little bit, and this was the only way he could think of accomplishing it fast enough.

He'd shucked his waistcoat and tie, glad that it wasn't nearly as warm there as it had been in Miami, and was laying sideways on his couch, nursing the beer and thinking about well. Everything really. More than anything, he was glad that the other man was coming over, so he could get his mind off of what he'd been fixating on for the past while. Owen's birthday being Valentine's Day...that was just damned awful timing, Ianto decided, and really hoped that him being upset about Owen wasn't going to ruin their evening.

Sulu groaned at the idea that Ianto could even think about moving, burying his face into Ianto's neck. He knew the other was right and that they really did need to clean up, especially since they didn't before their second round, but he rebelled against the thought anyway.

He was too tired out to really resist, though, so after a few moments of just trying to keep his breath and not lose it all over again, he carefully rolled to the side, pulling Ianto's hand from his back and holding it between his own. "Do you really need to get up?" he asked plaintively, too tired to muster up the energy to really lay it on thick but trying nonetheless.

Sulu groaned again as Ianto sat up, settling onto his back as the other got up and moved out of the room and throwing an arm over his eyes. If Ianto wanted to get up, that was his prerogative, but Sulu was pretty sure he didn't even have the energy to open his eyes any more.

Still, when the other returned, holding out a wet washcloth, he moved to sit himself up on his elbow, taking it with his free hand and making a valiant attempt to clean himself up. He dropped the towel onto the side-table once he was done with it, realizing belatedly that they were still sideways on the bed. Part of him just wanted to pull the blanket over them and stay that way, but he knew it'd be more comfortable if they actually were using it properly. He wrapped his arms around Ianto. "Might have to move again," he warned.

Sulu had no real motivation to get up himself, so he couldn't blame Ianto in the slightest. He rolled over, wrapping an arm around Ianto's chest and hooking a leg over Ianto's knees, sighing. "We don't have to," he said, "I don't care." He even went so far as to pull his hand away from Ianto's chest long enough to reach over and pull the blanket back from the top of the bed, throwing it over them. Sure, it was over their heads as well, but Sulu couldn't find it in him to care. There was enough that they were both covered, and that was all he really cared about.

"See?" he said, grinning a little at Ianto as he shifted close to the other's side. "All better. No moving required." Sure, it wasn't going to really work, but. It was the thought that counted.

There were times when Sulu had ended up tangling himself up completely in his blankets because he'd decided to lie sideways across the bed and then been too lazy to stand up to correct himself, so he didn't see a big problem with lying like this, but if Ianto didn't enjoy it, well then. "Alright, alright..." He dragged himself up to the head of the bed, climbing under the covers as soon as he could and immediately wrapping his arms around Ianto once again.

Settling in against Ianto, Sulu's eyes had a hard time staying open. "Mm," he mumbled, trying to talk but failing miserably at that moment. Finally, he managed to say, "Is that better?" It was slurred a little, now that he was comfortable and sleepy, but thankfully it was still understandable.
