[RL WITH SULU][backdated to 03-20] Shoreleave: Part 2

Ianto had thought that one day on the planet had been exciting enough, but the prospect of another, when Sulu had mentioned it, had been too good to pass up. They'd had such a nice time on the beach, after all. It was only fair that they do a little exploring, let Sulu look for the alien plants that he would want to and get to watch the other man geek out about something for a while. Ianto himself had been embarrassingly excited about the planet and the beach and all the previous day, after all. It would be nice to be able to be the one to sit back and watch the excitement on someone else for a change, reverse roles from the previous day.

They hadn't gotten too early of a start. After all, this was a vacation for the pair of them, and it wouldn't do to have to wake up in the wee hours of the morning (if there were such a thing in space, Ianto didn't really even know). But they gave themselves the better part of the day, and after having a bite to eat (Ianto wasn't sure he would ever get enough of being fascinated with the replicators), and a quick stop by Ianto's flat for more clothes for him (he needed long pants if they might be venturing into the jungle, after all, it was only practical) they found themselves beaming down to the planet again, Sulu with his kit and Ianto with...well. The clothes on his back, really. He didn't really have anything to bring along himself, since they were mostly going to be exploring inland this time.

Ianto looked up at the clear blue sky above him, and smiled at the fact that even the weather seemed to have adjusted so that it was cool enough for him to be comfortable in jeans, but not too cool that it wasn't still pretty warm. "...god," he said. "It's like this place is gorgeous every day." He shot a smile sideways at Sulu. "Better not let me visit for many more days, I might want to stay," he joked.

Sulu made a vague gesture to a small shelf in the corner of the tub, where three dispensers were set up. "Left is shampoo, middle is conditioner, right is shower gel," he said, knowing it was probably a lot different from anything Ianto was used to but figuring he could make the most of it. He lifted his head then, giving Ianto an appraising look. "Are you saying you want me under the influence of sex pollen again?" Because. Well, other than the potential asphyxiation, he had to admit, he'd pretty well enjoyed himself then and there.

Sulu sighed, leaning into Ianto as the other began to work his hands through his hair, closing his eyes to avoid soap and water and just because he really was kind of tired. He couldn't help but grin lazily at Ianto's question, though.

"Yeah, I think that'd be worth looking in to. I'm not sure how I'm even supporting myself right now, honestly. You practically turned me completely boneless, with the way you were touching me back there." He cracked open an eye enough to look up at Ianto, "Not to mention, some of the stuff you were saying. I liked that, too. Using your voice against me and all."

Despite the soap in his hair and the fact that he was, really, trying to get clean (or let Ianto help him get clean), Sulu leaned up and kissed Ianto firmly, hands bracing against his hips. "Ianto Jones," he said, grinning, "You could read out a menu at a restaurant and I'd find it hot. That's how good your voice is."

Leaning his head into Ianto's hands, he closed his eyes to keep from getting anything in them and continued, "And I wouldn't be the first person to show up in medical with an allergic reaction to pollen like that. For some stupid reason," he chuckled, "People like to roll around in the stuff without thinking about whether or not they're allergic. I have no idea why."

Sulu knew his shower well enough to be able to reach over, filling his hand up with shower gel, lathering it briefly between his hands before bringing them around Ianto's sides, up to his back. He figured if Ianto was helping him, the least he could do was return the favor.

Sulu wasn't hard to pamper, that was for sure; even something simple like Ianto washing his hair was enough to make him feel lazy and at ease. Not that he normally didn't feel like that, but it was different here. He smiled a little, pressing his fingers into Ianto's muscles as he all but brushed sand off of Ianto's skin.

"I don't think I'd mind. At all." His smile quirked at the edges and he all but drawled, "I never really took you for the type of guy to be into surprise phone sex, though." Though that wasn't strictly true - he knew Ianto was really not nearly as polite and gentlemanly as his persona made him out to be. But, that was the best part. The fact that he'd never really expect it to happen just made the idea of it actually happening that much more intimate.

Sulu tilted his head to help rinse his hair free of conditioner, leaning against Ianto as he did so. He felt himself being pulled a little and leaned into the kiss he knew was coming, sighing against Ianto's mouth and bringing his hands up to run over Ianto's neck and shoulders, leaving a trail of soap in his wake.

"You're plenty interesting," he said, smiling a bit into the kiss, "But the deviant behavior helps." His hands gripped at Ianto's arms, the water clearing the gel away, and then he brought his hand up to Ianto's neck, threading his fingers through his hair and feeling the grit there. "Think it's your turn," he mumbled, making a move for the shampoo.

"There's no rush," Sulu replied softly, lathering shampoo between his hands before reaching up to run them through Ianto's hair, fingertips scratching lightly at his scalp as he worked the lather through. "We've got plenty of time. The Enterprise doesn't run out of hot water, after all."

Sulu really didn't mind if Ianto never got around to the bodywash stage of things - he felt clean enough, considering, and he was just as lethargic as Ianto seemed to be. The water was warm and the steam was helping unwind his nerves; if there'd been enough room for both of them to lie down, Sulu would have probably suggested that they did exactly that. "When I finish up here, we could go lie down, if you want?"

"It's sort of been one of those days," Sulu agreed quietly, his hands slicking through Ianto's hair a few more times before bringing him forward under the spray. He was really starting to feel honestly exhausted, and it was almost refreshing after the adrenaline and the fear and the aphrodisiac; it was the kind of feeling you only got when you felt safe enough.

"Last thing I want is for us to pass out here, though. Do you want me to go ahead with the conditioner, or should we save it for later?" he asked, leaning in to nuzzle against Ianto's jaw. He wouldn't normally have done it, but - he was tired and comfortable and all too ready for a nap with Ianto. It had felt like the appropriate motion for the state he was currently in.

Nodding against Ianto's chin, Sulu moved back to press a button on the wall of the shower, the water starting to taper off from full blast to barely even a drip. He then moved, carefully stepping around Ianto to grab them both a towel, handing one over to the other before wrapping one around himself and stepping over the rim and into the bathroom proper.

Truthfully, he wouldn't have minded staying in with Ianto even just a little bit longer, but he knew as well as Ianto clearly did that if they didn't get out right then, they probably wouldn't be able to later. He smiled at Ianto. "See, I know when to call things off," he said, laughing a little. "Even if that shower was more relaxing than the beach had been." It wasn't exactly true, but after everything they'd been through that day, it certainly felt it.

"I had an idea of getting out, but I wanted to see how you felt about it," Sulu replied, pretending that he was unwilling to admit that it had been Ianto's idea. Really, he wouldn't have minded staying in a little longer. But, from the way Ianto yawned, suddenly, Sulu knew that they'd made the right decision. He couldn't help but yawn a little himself, covering his mouth with his hand briefly before moving to finish drying off, tilting his head towards his cabin.

"We can leave the towels wherever," he said, slowly moving to head out to the bed, "We're going to have to wash everything anyway. I would just use the sonic shower, but I really don't want to risk any of the pollen sticking to our clothes afterwards." It was better to do it the old-fashioned way, when it came to pollens. He had sprays in his lab that would help, too. "But for right now - we've got a bed to relax in."

Sulu was quick to finish drying off - he'd gotten good at it, what with his job and all - and tossed the towel aside, not even aiming for the bathroom. He hadn't been kidding about leaving things lying around; he did it all the time, especially when he was exhausted, and he wasn't going to go back into the bathroom just to hang the towel up again or anything. Maybe later, though.

For now, he was focused on climbing into bed with Ianto, practically falling into it. Without a moment's hesitation, he was spreading out, one of his arms snaking over Ianto's chest to hold onto him - both because he wanted to, and because he really didn't want to fall off the edge accidentally. After a moment, he drew a knee up to hook over one of Ianto's legs, shifting around a little to try and get comfortable. "I love my bed," he said, already sounding like he was ready to pass out. "Perfect for naps."

Sulu really didn't want to have to get up after he'd gotten comfortable, but the fact of the matter was that they did need an alarm if they didn't want to sleep for the rest of the day and well into the night. His communicator was still in his bag, though, so thankfully it wouldn't be too far a walk.

Sighing, he sat up. "Yeah, we really are," he decided, managing to pull himself out of bed and get his comm, setting it so that they would have a few hours of sleep before they got up. "That should do it," he sighed again, turning back to the bed and climbing in as quickly as he could. He tried to rearrange himself like he had been before he'd gotten up, too. "Hopefully that works, and we don't just sleep through it."

Sulu grinned a little, nodding his head against Ianto's shoulder as he gladly draped across the other's side. "Yeah, there is. It's kind of awesome," he said, his words drawling a little from sleep. "Of course, you're going to have to be able to wake me up, first..." After all, Ianto had mentioned something about being very good at that - or at least, determined to be good at it.

Sighing a little, Sulu closed his eyes. "Hopefully the alien planet thing wasn't too bad for you, all things considered," he said. "I promised you I'd take you. I'd just hoped there wouldn't be any running for our lives." He casually failed to comment on the sex pollen bit. Other than his allergies - well, it was definitely not so bad.

"Yeah," Sulu replied with a half-hearted sort of laugh, "Just a cliff. Granted, it wasn't nearly as high as the dive I took off the drill..." He wasn't sure if he'd ever actually told Ianto about that. He knew he wasn't in any shape to talk about it now; he could already feel himself starting to go through the shutting-down process that came along with sleep.

"I usually just hit it," he added with a yawn, "The comm, I mean. It usually works." Somehow. He was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to do that, but still, it was the easiest way to deal with the racket it made. Of course, it didn't always work... "But. We'll figure it out. You'll figure it out, I mean. Once we wake up..." The way his voice drifted at the end indicated just how close he was to passing out.
