[RL WITH SULU]

[Ianto looks at the people milling around in Mickey Mouse ears, at the rides around him and at the people dressed up as characters, princesses and adventurers and just about everything in between as he roams the streets of what seems to be a pretty extravagant version of Disneyland. Ianto's heard about the parks, but he's never been to one himself, and yet still, he figures that this one must be some sort of uber!park. Like that one time that all the worlds combined together into one giant mash-up, that this was the same thing only with Disney parks.

Ianto stops in front of a rather large sort of man-made pond, watching a ferryboat go by on it, and tries to figure out what he's going to do now that he's walked around and investigated the place.]

((ooc note: This thread has been made explicitly for the threading purposes of Sulu and Ianto. An identical thread for other people threading with Ianto can be found here. We just thought that, what with our average of ~200 comments per interaction, it might be better if we start Ianto and Sulu's interactions in a separate post of their own right from the start XD))

Well, that's coming later. I was more considering the fact that we probably won't get in trouble if we end up making out in a ride or something. [A wink.] That's PG.

Yeah, yeah... [Sulu grinned and nodded up ahead, where the artificial mountain of the Matterhorn was standing.] It's just up there. It doesn't look like the line is really long, either. [Despite the fact that he's 22, Sulu can't help but be a little excited. 21st century rollercoasters were fun. Like deathtraps, really.]

Because it's a theme park. [Sulu gives Ianto a very skeptical look, like he's never heard of someone questioning how a theme park was supposed to look. Mostly because he never has.] Everything is set up to be like something else. You're not going to be negative about it, are you? [He's only teasing, though, from the tone of his voice and the smile on his face.]

I don't know. [Sulu shrugs, holding up his hands as they get in line.] It's probably a Mickey Mouse thing. Disney's still around in the 23rd century, but it's... not quite the same. Everything's been updated.

Sort of hovercoasters. [He shrugs.] It's kind of hard to explain. Disneyland's kind of anachronistic, they keep most of the stuff for as long as I know. They just keep updating the technology and they changed this ride to mimic one of Mars's volcanoes, instead of a mountain in the alps or wherever.
parked: (oh my god that's hilarious)

Of course I don't mind! [Sulu grins.] These are more dangerous and therefore, more fun.

Not much to do with it. At least, nothing that you'd get away with at Disneyland. [Coy? Completely.]

[Sulu just grins a little smugly at that, because he knows that Ianto definitely doesn't mind him being anything like Jack.] Just part of your type, I guess.
parked: (so a doctor and a pilot walk into a bar.)

Witty, handsome, nice accent - [he grins.] I guess that's my type now, if you're going to be fitting into it.

It works like that in the 23rd century, then. [Sulu nudges Ianto's arm because he's joking, really. He just never really had a type. It was mostly just whoever interested him, and was interested in return.]
