[LOG WITH SULU][forward-dated to valentine's day]
Ianto had gotten back from Owen's birthday party and immediately gone to the fridge to get himself a lager. He had intended to leave early that night to sober up, but. He needed the alcohol. Needed the burn and the haze to get over the fact that he had just been talking to a friend that would be dead in a few months time. A friend who he'd watched die once already, and well. Yes, it was Valentine's day, and Sulu was coming over, but Ianto needed to wind down a little bit, and this was the only way he could think of accomplishing it fast enough.
He'd shucked his waistcoat and tie, glad that it wasn't nearly as warm there as it had been in Miami, and was laying sideways on his couch, nursing the beer and thinking about well. Everything really. More than anything, he was glad that the other man was coming over, so he could get his mind off of what he'd been fixating on for the past while. Owen's birthday being Valentine's Day...that was just damned awful timing, Ianto decided, and really hoped that him being upset about Owen wasn't going to ruin their evening.

Ianto could only take so much more of that attention before he had to pry his hand out of the other man's hair, release the sofa cushion from his other, and put them on Sulu's shoulders. It took all of his self control to stop Sulu, but he'd been drinking, and his stamina was less than spectacular because of it, and as nice as it was, Ianto didn't want it to end like this. So, with his hands on Sulu's shoulders, Ianto groaned, pushing him away. "Nnnn, no," he managed. "Stop, stop. I... Not like this."
no subject
"So," he said, voice rough, "Like how?"
no subject
"I..." Ianto said, his voice coming out so rough that he had to clear his throat to speak properly. "...I." Nope, he really was otherwise preoccupied. His hands moved to his pants, and he gripped them. "These need off too," Ianto said, the one thing that he was sure of in that moment. He shifted, moving to tug his pants down and off, without standing up any more than he needed to.

"Yeah," he said after a moment, "I think they do." Reaching forward, Sulu hooked his fingers over Ianto's waistband and helped pull off the rest of his clothes, maybe dragging his fingertips against Ianto's skin a little more than necessary. He couldn't help it; he just liked touching Ianto whenever he could get away with it - and in situations like this, he could always get away with it.

Ianto wasn't really thinking too much anymore. It was true, the coherency of his mind was put through the wringer, starting with the alcohol and then continued by the fact that Sulu was just so goddamn attractive and naked and right there and his. He rolled his hips a little, unable to help it, Sulu having worked him up into a state already, pressing his arousal against the warm skin of the other man's stomach, sighing into his mouth at the feeling of it.

Pushing himself against Ianto, he rocked himself forward to rub against him. He sighed a little against Ianto's lips, and opened his eyes just enough to be able to look at Ianto, mumbling against his mouth as he pulled back just enough to ask, "What do you want to do?" Because as nice as this was... well. Sulu wouldn't turn down going further.

Ianto forced his brain and his mouth to function and cooperate enough to answer Sulu, his words spoken as Sulu's were, against the other man's mouth. "Should be asking you that," he said. "'s only fair. Since you brought the wine and the flowers. As a thank you, even. Best Valentine's I've had so far. Possibly ever." Ianto certainly couldn't remember any better than this one at the moment, what with the other man's body pressed up to him in such a manner as it was.

"Besides," he said, dipping his head forward to kiss the crook of Sulu's neck, his breath soft and hot against the other man's skin, "I've got something to admit to you as well..." He picked his head up to speak directly in Sulu's ear. "I enjoy you touching me too..." he said, his voice low and rough. He rolled his hips against Sulu's again. "Always did love your hands..."

Ianto wanted to make it known that he approved of Sulu's actions, but he really wasn't one for talking all too much in situations like these, so he settled for laying his palms flat and wide against Sulu's hips and pulling them forward, trapping Sulu's hand between their bodies before rolling his hips again. Yeah, there really should be no doubt to the other man just how much Ianto was enjoying himself in that moment.

His eyes opened, half-lidded and all right, maybe his gaze was a little unfocused, but he wanted to watch Ianto's face as he stroked him, pressing his hips against the couch and Ianto's thighs as he was pulled forward, having absolutely no problem with his hand being trapped where it was. He didn't mind one damned thing about anything they were doing right now - it was all honestly perfect.

"Ianto," he murmured, practically into Ianto's ear with the way they were sitting, "God - you're gorgeous. You always deny it, but you really are." Every time he'd complimented the other, he'd always denied it, and Sulu could never understand why.

Ianto wanted to say something in return. Something about how he didn't really see it, what Sulu saw in him, but...that he was glad the other man did see it. That he saw the good in Ianto even when Ianto himself did not, the bright side of Ianto's life when Ianto himself was so sure that things were going to turn out for the worst. That he was as lucky as he was to have fallen in love with someone as wonderful as Sulu, and completely by accident. But Ianto's mind was very much otherwise preoccupied, so after a moment of struggling to put those thoughts into words, he decided that those words were better left for later, and leaned forward, kissing the other man firmly and soundly on the mouth, his other hand sneaking down to wrap around Sulu's own arousal, his hand cool against Sulu's heated skin.

He shuddered when Ianto's hand gripped him, eyes closing against the feeling, Ianto's cool skin making the feeling more intense. Groaning lowly against Ianto's mouth, he thrust against his hand, his own hand's pace picking up slightly as he deepened their kiss.

And it'd been a few months since he'd gotten Ianto back, sure, but that didn't mean he didn't think about it a lot - think about how he had lost him and how willing he'd been to do anything to get him back, how what time they had gotten hadn't been enough, not nearly enough. And while the thoughts were coming now, even though they were really unwanted at that moment, Sulu couldn't help it from weighing on his mind to the point where he had to say something. Raising his hand from Ianto's thigh to his cheek, eyes half-lidded but sincere as he said, "I want you to know that I'm sorry that I wasn't around to save you. I'm not going to let that ever happen again."
no subject
He slowed the pace of his hand, almost stopping, as he lifted his head to press a kiss to Sulu's forehead, a far cry from the passion that they'd been entangled in moments before, but equally as heartfelt. He couldn't say it, not quite yet. Certainly not as addled as he was in that moment. But that didn't mean he didn't feel it, and he hoped...that Sulu knew it as well. "You did save me," he said again, and it was clear from his voice that he didn't mean just the once.

He tilted his head after a moment to kiss the curve of Ianto's neck; his hand, which had drifted away from it's previous activity to hold Ianto's side, moved back to wrap around his arousal once more, his movements slower and gentler than before because, well. If there was ever a really appropriate moment for that pace, it was probably then and there.

This had been nice for what they had been up to before, but. This wasn't about passion and carnal desires like it had been. This was more... Well. Ianto certainly hesitated to even think about the term making love, because he rather hated it and everything that it entitled as a label, but. It...wasn't too far off from what they were doing.
As difficult as it was to make himself do so, he reached his hand out to still Sulu's on his arousal, laying a hand on it gently. "...we can keep this going, if you like," he said. "Or..." Well. He didn't much feel like going upstairs, but they didn't have to (Jack being Jack, Ianto secreted the right materials all around the flat). Ianto wasn't sure that either of them would last much longer anyway, but. It might be nice, to switch it up a little. Without the condom this time.

And he knew what Ianto was hinting at, twisting his wrist to hold Ianto's hand in his own, but that didn't mean he wasn't going to play maybe a little dumb. He knew Ianto'd get flustered (or annoyed, but the kind of annoyed that was sweet and good, instead of the kind that got him socked in the shoulder), and that was something he wasn't able to pass up. "Or...?" he echoed back, grinning a bit against Ianto's neck.
no subject
"Or... We could... Do something else," Ianto said, haltingly. "I mean. I'd like to stay here, if that's alright. Since we're here anyway, but. I thought that maybe. We might want to... Y'know." God, where had all of his liquid courage gone, he wondered. He felt rather ridiculous for not being able to just come out and say it. "If you're interested, that is..." he said, in conclusion.
no subject
"I'm interested," he added after a moment, his smile wide and sincere. "Really interested."
no subject
He flushed deeper. "There's... There's a bottle," he said, not really finishing his sentence but not really needing to as he threw a hand out in the direction of the end table by the end of the sofa, where he knew that he had a bottle of lube hidden in the drawer. Either Sulu needed to get it, or he needed to be let up to get it himself. But that was the first step in this. And the next would be...well. Asking, he supposed.
